Google Ask Employees to Work From Home Through July 2021 Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Google asks most of his employees to work from home at least till next July 2021. Because of the Coronavirus pandemic. That is according to an email sent by Google CEO Sundar Pichai to employees.

To give employees the ability to plan ahead, we are extending our global voluntary work from home option through June 30, 2021 for roles that don’t need to be in the office

The extended work-from-home order will impact roughly all of Google’s 200000 employees. In addition to most contractors and full-time workers per Wall Street Journal citing an anonymous source.

Even Though, Google started rolling out plan last month to call in 10%-15% of staffers allowed to be in any one location.

Nevertheless, Google extended work-from-home order joins a growing list of top American companies, that extended their work from home order either temporarily or permanently.

For instance, in May Twitter announced that employees will be able to work from home if they choose to and if their role permit. Also, Facebook, followed suit this spring.
