Consequently, let’s take advantage to advance our knowledge and skills. That is because, there is nothing more powerful than an educated black man and woman.

Mentoring is an essential and critical component of our collective growth. Successful people of color have a moral duty toward their communities. Mentoring is one of the most important ways of giving back. As a matter of fact, mentoring powers hope and lead to a better and stronger community.

5 ways People of Color Can Have a Better Life: Next
We can’t achieve anything good for our community if divided. Truly, effectiveness comes from working together to address issues that affect our communities. A lot of the issues affecting our communities can be fixed if we are united. Be involved and engaged in your community. For instance, activities such as money circles can bring people together and act as a catalyst for positive change.

Indeed, the price of social unrest or social protest is small incremental changes. However, the price for consistent voting is radical and fast change. We have the lucky and the incredible opportunity to live in the most powerful democracy on earth. In fact, that exceptionality gives citizens a unique power to change things. Your voice matter so please don’t be distracted. Let’s exercise our voting right.
No actions, riots, yelling, destruction, nor anger will change things. But, putting in office, elected officials that carry on policies that benefit all citizens at every level of our government will change things. So…

5. More owners, fewer consumers
Respect comes with ownership. Ownership comes with power. But it takes time, hard work, consistency, and sacrifices to get there. Ultimately, if more people of color are business owners, homeowners, asset owners, the more positive impact they can start generating in the country. It is all about the economy and we haven’t yet reached that critical mass.

Institutionalize racism against people of color, has been around for more than 400 years. For sure, it is not going to end anytime soon. That is why, we shouldn’t be distracted or fall back on our comfort because of some bandage measures due to the current unrest. Even though, we welcome all new initiatives, we need to keep focus.
